Very early, I felt that singing and music gives me a lot of joy. Even as a little boy I loved to sing. At that time I spent several summers as a mountain dairyman on the alp and yodeled in nature. While milking cows, I continued to practice and learned various melody sheets from radio and tapes.

I enjoyed my first performance in front of a big audience when I was twenty years old. I realized that I needed professional lessons to get ahead. That has paid off. Today I can sing over four octaves and create impressive moods that get under the skin. Through many awards with top marks at yodel festivals, I was able to travel the whole world, I was an advertiser for Grindelwald and Switzerland Tourism and I was part of television appearances and films.

One of the most beautiful performances of my career was during the Music Festival Weeks Meiringen, when I was allowed to sing together with the Russian Music Choir from St. Petersburg in the church of Meiringen.

For me it is a compliment when the audience listens intently during the concerts and when it is dead quiet. I was particularly touched by the standing ovation at the Federal Yodelling Festival in Aarau.

Now I’m working on an anniversary album for 40 years on stage, to be released in 2023. My biggest dream is still a concert in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
